The Seacoast Women’s Giving Circle and numerous area schools have joined together in a public awareness campaign to reduce unnecessary vehicle idling. Some schools have elected to distribute pledge forms and magnetic bumper stickers to parents who have agreed to participate and to post signs, others have simply made no-idling a school policy and posted signs, and others have elected to solely post signs. Our campaign is based on a well developed campaign promoted by Airwatch Northwest. Below are links to the different materials your school or school district should need to launch a campaign.
- Invitation to participate
- No Idling Frequently Asked Questions document and websites for more information
- Sample parent and teacher communications
- Order form for signs that can be posted outside schools
- Order form for magnetic bumper stickers
- No Idling Press Releases
- Local schools/districts that have, as of April 2009, initiated the campaign are:
